Bladder
A balloon-like muscular organ that stores and empties urine
Kidneys
Two organs located near the lower back. They remove waste from the blood, add it to water, then pass the fluid through the ureters to the bladder.

A gland which only men have, which tends to enlarge with age: surrounds the urethra below the bladder, produces a fluid which becomes part of semem

Periods when breathing is interrupted during sleep; may prevent people from realizing that they have to empty their bladder

A muscle that opens and closes the opening of the bladder
Spina Bifida
A birth defect in which the spinal cord is not properly formed
Ureters
Two tubes that connect the kidneys to the bladder
Urethra
A thin tube that carries urine from the bladder to outside the body
Urinary Incontinence
A condition in which a person is unable to control his/her bladder, so urine is leaked, often without warning
Urinary Tract
Makes, stores and removes urine from the body: made up of the kidneys, ureters, the bladder and the urethra
Urine
Water and waste fluids collected out of the blood and removed from the body
Urologist
A doctor who specializes in diseases of the urinary tract
Voiding
Emptying the bladder
